The one before me definitely not. It's a tip, no mods, great PPI for me, maintenance records back 10 years. Would surprise me if it was tracked.

Have you guys seen the urethane lips? If so, has anyone tried one? I think the idea of having something constructed out of something that's not as brittle as the stock ones sounds like a good idea. I run an OEM gt2 lip on mine, and it's just a matter of time before the inevitable happens.

The original gt2 lip is PUR = polyurethane. Just repaired mine yesterday it had a tear and is basically falling apart. Trying to repair before I fork out $500 to ship a new one to me (shipping is ridiculously expensive to Asia). Anyway, used Amazing Goop Automotive to patch it up and plastidip black spray paint to refinish. Let's see how it goes. Used epoxy before... It didn't hold up.

Car was giving me idle problems, abs/psm cel, narrowed it down to MAF. Ordered and installed and car is running perfectly. Easy install and I’d recommend anyone doing it proactively. Cost for replacement oem was $270 @ pelican parts.

maf is like Ignition switch in that it can create a lot of what seem unrelated issues.

Worked on prepping my brake calipers to be repainted this weekend.
I'm trying to really take my time and be thorough since everyone always says prep is the most important step.
Man, what a chore. I think the previous refinishing job is making it more difficult for me -- I'm really struggling to get a smooth surface, using a mix of sandpaper and Scotchbrite. Might have to bust out the dremel.

changed out the eibach springs for a slightly softer set. added the tarret extended link setup for the front sways and tarret drop links for the rear. went from 600f/850r to 450f/650r main coils and 175 tender springs all around.

+1
That + C4S front lip would be kind of a cool setup.

Dropped of the GT2 decklid for paint and took the 996 out for a 100 mile drive to replenish the whisky stash. Drives great being RWD, really love the steering feedback now.
