UMW flash + RPI exhaust going on Dyno
I'm going to get my car dynoed this Sunday on a Dyno-AWD 300. I've got an UMW flash and a 3" Rpi exhaust. From my search, seems like 996 turbos with flash and exhaust are getting around 409-435awhp.
I've had the UMW flash for a year and just got the RPI installed 2 days ago. The flash alone was great but a proper exhuast really let's theses cars breath. I'll report back with my results........unless I'm under 400awhp lol j/k

Had the flash for about 10,000 miles. Just replaced the stock clutch with another stock clutch a month ago. Picked up a stock clutch for cheap that's why I didn't upgrade to a stronger one.

How many fans were put on the IC's? Did the engine get cool air? Should have run it to 6950 RPM's.. If you do not get enough cooling the engine will retard timing.

The dyno room definately had all the bells and whistles. I was told that the air gets recycled 5 times per minute by the fans and huge air duct sucking out air which is located in front of the car. The large black tubes in the pic with the tapered metal tips were feeding cool air to the side vents. I believe the computer measured the room temp at 20 degrees.
At the end of the day, I'm very happy with how strong my car pulls. I don't want to get all caught up with the Dyno #s game or else I'll be forced to spend more money to upgrade my turbos lol

The 457 at the crank number is a calculated number, correct?
Stock, the 996TT should be putting out about 415 at the crank, right? That means tune and exhaust only gave you an additional 40hp? That doesn't sound right to me. Am I using wrong assumptions here?

This dyno must read low because a bone stock 2011 c4s only got max 360hp at the crank when the factory rates them at 385hp. Another stock 2007 carrera S got 318hp and they're rated at 355hp I believe. This was my first trip to the dyno so I'm new to this. Do other dynos read close to factory specs on bone stock cars?

My understanding is that Dyno calibration is as much art as science. You can get a lot of variation amongst different dynos.
The key is to get a baseline on a particular dyno, and then measure the impact of upgrades using the same dyno.
Again, that's my understanding but I'm not an expert on this.

polar3, when you're running it through the gears do you feel that slight dip that shows at 5500 - 5700? Or is it just noticeable on the print out? I've got a dip right in that range that is noticeable so just wondering?
