Default help picking splitter for 2004 996 turbo cab

Hi, need to get a new splitter for my porsche 2004 turbo cab. the factory model seems to be a bit fragile. wondering if there is something better out there for similar cost, don't want to alter the body if at all possible so prefer factory mounting option is available. really don't want to put on a whole aero kit type of set up or a whole new bumper. thought about the better bodies brand but wasn't sure if it required adhering it to the front of the bumper. would love to hear some options /preferences. thank you

Go to eBay and search for 996 turbo splitter. Ther is a company that makes an exact copy for $130 shipped. It is more flexible than the original. Buy 2 and when one gets boogered up replace it with the 2nd and buy another.

That's what i did last year and the first one is holding up well. The key is flexibility, not rigidity. You're going to whack it. You want it to bend, not break.

SSST thanks, i tried to search on ebay but only found small wings that attach to the splitter...perhaps they are no longer available there.

I bought one, and had to carefully drill and insert two small screws in the forward mid area to keep it from falling off at high speed, apparently it bends and pulls under. It never gets dragged under, you just park and notice it has come loose. Next one will be another hard ABS OEM. Does look good just not built for speed.

Interesting. I haven't had any problem with mine and it's been to 140. The fit was so snug I don't see how it would come loose at any speed. I know LVDell's saw track duty with no problem so I suspect it saw high speeds.

Are you sure there isn't any damage to the bottom of bumper cover that is causing it to be loose?
