Read the owners manual, it specifically states, the spoiler in the down position when at speed can cause handling issues ! I don't thinbk they would put that in the manual if there was no issue,

Only thing about the fixed wing setup I like as opposed to a fully functional spoiler at speed is that I no longer obsess about whether or not it fully deploys and detracts. I can't count the times I would peer into the rearview and see one side slightly unevenly deployed, or retracted. I've gotten out of the car at stoplights before to manually push one side down.
Until able to "rebleed" the system - for the 4th or 5th time! I don't miss that process either though I have to say it "worked" as a stopgap "fix" for at least a decade if not longer.

Buy some eRams and you’ll never have to think about your rear spoiler again. That’s what I did.

I no longer care whether they "work" or not. It's amazing to me the kinds of things that once "mattered" that no longer do! But the 21 year old car runs great! That matters, and always will.
