I actually think the spoiler looks better down than up. I do keep my system in "automatic" though.

+1 Dock. if mine starts failing I would like to fix mine in the down position.

I guess I could just remove the fuse and pop it in only when I need to pop the deck lid.

Read the owners manual, it specifically states, the spoiler in the down position when at speed can cause handling issues ! I don't thinbk they would put that in the manual if there was no issue,

Here's to a 12 year old thread revival and I bet no one's spoilers are still operational. Except Dock's of course!

If your wing leaks, drain whats left and fill with 20w50. Did that 8 years ago...

Only thing about the fixed wing setup I like as opposed to a fully functional spoiler at speed is that I no longer obsess about whether or not it fully deploys and detracts. I can't count the times I would peer into the rearview and see one side slightly unevenly deployed, or retracted. I've gotten out of the car at stoplights before to manually push one side down.

Until able to "rebleed" the system - for the 4th or 5th time! I don't miss that process either though I have to say it "worked" as a stopgap "fix" for at least a decade if not longer.

Buy some eRams and you’ll never have to think about your rear spoiler again. That’s what I did.

I remember when they were first made available, I was a huge proponent of their development! and remember well CarerraDave's "introductory special offer" but never availed myself of it at the time. As I was still able to "nurse" my rams into continuing operability until...they finally had to be put down ( or UP, as is now the case! )

I no longer care whether they "work" or not. It's amazing to me the kinds of things that once "mattered" that no longer do! But the 21 year old car runs great! That matters, and always will.
