Default Good places to buy wheels?

I'm looking for new wheels for my 996tt. I checked my usual places (tirerack, tiretrends) but couldn't find something I liked.

Do you have good wheels site to suggest?

1. Decide on the brand/style.color/etc.

2. THEN shop for price/vendor.

Look around the forums (here, 6speedonline) for styles you like, then fine tune it from there.

I don't like no-name, chinese/malaysian plant wheels...give me a company with serious skin in the game and a wheel I can trust. Just me.

I have spoken with these guys about wheels but have not yet pulled the trigger - they are VERY knowledgable and will send you pictures of the wheels you choose on the car you put them on if they have done it before...

Check out the sponsors of this board and this place in Miami has a good rep.

I like Champion's line of wheels. They are expensive, but absolutely stunning. I'm trying to justify the cost in my mind since I'm a bit of a cheapskate.

Victor Equipment also makes a really nice wheel at an affordable price. I know discount tire carries them.

Only buy used wheels from a reputable seller; my indi has a set of Champions RG5's sitting in his shop. I showed some interest, but he told me 1, they have been repaired so many times, they don't balance out well and almost seem useless for high speed and 2, the owner of the wheels owes the indi money so he really can't get rid of them.
So, in order to stay in your budget, shop for a new set first or if you look into pre-owned, inspect them well.

I look at hundreds of style of wheels. I kinda decided to go with Forgestar F14 wheels. I like the looks and they are affordable.

Anyone heard of them?

If the reputation's good, then it'll be time to chose the color... I'm thinking silver to go with my Seal Grey 996tt. But really are not sure.

I love my Forgestars! Quality, weight, and even a reasonable price!

excellent.

i'm leaning toward another set of victors in a similar pattern, and theyre kinda cheap. i cant justify $4k for hre's or champions. those look good. you mind my asking what youve paid?

I picked mine up second hand from another member, but prices are very reasonable - similar to victors. I liked the victors, but they are quite heavy...

i've had the victors twice. zehn's and another w/ chrome lip name escapes me. the victors in the "innsbruck"? are very similar to the forgestar f14's but i have a feeling the f'stars are better wheels even though victors are ccw's. i don't track so the weight issue on most aftermarkets wheels is a non issue for me.

i saw mr white had a set for sale fast n cheap, and i missed em. maybe you got em?

The nicest wheels I have found are custom toyour liking with many options here:
http://modularewheels.com/

I have the M11 3 pice forged with silver inner to match the Porsche insert, and chrome barrel. I get compliments all the time.

I think that first you have to choose what size you are going with, because despite finding a huge array of wheels in "19 if you decide to stay with "18's you will find it hard to find the correct wheels.

I stayed with "18's and my final draw were BBS LM's and HRE's, I choose the HRE's because they were custom made so I could pull offsets to my likings and needs.

In "19's perhaps, aside of HRE's I would also look into Champion, Modulare, ADV1, but truly price to quality to looks the winner in the "19 category has to be the BBS Ch.
