Default Price check 2002 996TT

Thanks in advance.

What is a reasonable price for this car (for both parties)?

2002 996TT
30k miles
Up to date service
Totally clean PPI. Nothing at all wrong with this car - everything fixed under warranty (expiring very soon)
New transmission (previous pop-out) and RMS done at same time (just because it was close, he says)
Black supple leather and Seal Gray
EVOMS parts including: hybrid K16/K24s, clutch, high flow headers, V-Flow Intake, F-Hose and Billet DVs
IPD intake plenum
Swift SSK
PSS9s
Milltek exhaust
Needs rubber.

Great previous owner. All records. Seemingly super clean car. Stock wheels and car externals. I spoke to the tech who PPId it and he said clean car, and I have the PPI report. DME Type 1s and 2s (not stated on the PPI), were said to be "none, nothing of concern" to me by the technician.

What's reasonable for both sides?

Just as base line or starting point for you.
I paid $40k cash for mine last July. (has X50 option) - all stock.

Needed a few hundred $ in minor repairs and brake pads. Cosmetically a few paint chips in the hood and a scratch from the rear wiper. Could have been better cosmetically.

Thanks guys.

I think that it's tough throwing your $40k X50 into the equation. That is a crazy deal. I'm seeing them an easy 10k higher now.

Prices seem to be going up again for clean, well maintained, with documented service for 996TTs. I figure anything under $49K.

I'd say 43 - 45. I know prices are supposed to be going up, but I paid 53 from a P dealer for an 04 tt cab with 48K and a full CPO warranty back in March.

Two years older and a coupe for only 4K less seems steep to me.

18k more miles on yours...and this one has, what, a $12k performance package?

I've had a rough rule of thumb that each year is $6k or so..probably $5k now. Mileage I 'convert' using 25-50 cents per mile. Wild card is what are mods worth? 66%?, 50%? 10%? I haven't been following Cab versus coupe, but my last recollection is there wasnt a premium for cabs (especially as people look for track toys)

I've not personally been shopping, and I won't say what I paid.... but pricing MUST be based on THIS car, THESE mods, THIS condition.

For sale in Canada or US.
Canada would be 45-60k
US I will let others chime in but lower for sure.
I still beleive there are deals, but in the end you get what you pay for. There is no substitute for a truely mint car with nice options in the colour you want. I would pay up to $55k for that car.

Keep em coming guys - I appreciate the insight.

Seller is likely stuck at $49k. My back of the envelope estimate is that the stock car is worth ~ $45k. Most here seem to agree with that, but estimates on what the mods are worth vary wildly, of course.

In general the convertible TT is not necessarily adding value to the car. Most that seek this car look for the coupes. I'd say the lesser miles on the 2002 are going to mitigate the newer year and cab value.

Since new tires will be needed maybe you can work the $49K to $47K. Based on what you have found I would say $45 to $47 sounds reasonable to me.

I bought a 100% stock 2001 996TT with 28k miles and spare set of wheels and tires for $41k eight months ago.
