When and Why should I upgrade for the Wastegate Kit ?? boost increase?

Without upgraded turbos or at least K24's (X50) with a good tune, I probably wouldn't waste your time...

Chad is correct.. It is not recommended to install the wastegate kits on stock K16's.. Once you apply the tune at 1.0 to 1.1 bars the turbochargers are maxed out.

The wastegate kit on K16 hybrids and K24's is the correct choice.

You need to get Kevin's ECU Tune, New Turbo's and Wastegate kit. If the damn gremlins would stay away from my car...I might get around to the tune and wastegates.

Kevin--I was speaking to you on the phone a month ago (I'm the guy from Canada with the x50 turbo asking you about your ECU enhancement vs. Upsolute)--you suggested buying your wastegate kit--although I am not upgrading the turbos (yet)--is this because I have an x50 pkg?

Fastboy you have K24's in your car..

If you install a wastegate kit on stock K16's you push the stock compressor wheels to hard. They become hot air pumps. Anything over 1.1bars is not benificial for a performance increase.

Thanks Kevin--question answered! Talk to you in about 3 months (BTW--I cant even get near my car right now to get the ECU reading for you --its in storage and the guy who keeps it doesnt plow the entrance as an added measure of security--i.e. no access to his stored cars to anyone!)
