996TT spring rates
Anyone know what the stock spring rates are for the 996TT? How about spring rates for the PSS9's that are made for the 996TT?
Reason I'm asking is, I just picked up a set of used Motons with 4000 miles on them, and since everything has to be taken apart to install them, I want to make sure I get the right spring set in there the first time.
I already know the recommended spring set numbers from Moton, just want to compare with stock, and my present PSS9's, to gauge the difference. Thanks.

keep us posted on your moton install. did you go with 2.5" or the 60mm?
curious what spring rates did you go with?
I went with 685 front and 913 rears. Kinda wish I went stiffer.

A quote from my own post a while ago:
"Panorama seems to be a good source of interesting information, unless you don't have factory data sheets. What I've so far gathered is here:
C2............1420kg...540/880...25 & 35 N/mm.............21,3 x 3,4 mm / 18,5 x 2,5 mm
C2 M030...1420kg...540/880...30 & 45 N/mm.............23,6 x 3,5 mm / 19,6 x 2,6 mm
GT3..........1395kg...515/880...40 & 95 N/mm.............26.8 x 4,0 mm / 20,7 x 2.8 mm ( 5- & 4-way adjustables )
GT2..........1450kg...???/???.....40 & 81 N/mm.............26.8 x 4,0 mm / 20,7 x 2.8 mm ( 5- & 4-way adjustables )
turbo........1540kg...605/935...33 & 60 N/mm..............23,6 x 3,5 mm / 21,7 x 3 mm
I think should also add stabilizer measurements too. C2's values I found from a Panorama article. C4's one are missing, because I haven't got a copy of a Repair Manual yet. Reason for this collection is to figure a bit out what there's been going on when suspension settings were made."
EDIT: N/mm x 5.709 = lb/in

mike, the cars feels surprisingly compliant, I was expecting a much stiffer ride, although I havent' had much time to dial in the settings. everything set to middle setting it's most likely not much diff than your PSS9's.

stock I believe is around 170f/260r
pss9 260f/450r (but various options)
for the 50% street/track about 500f/700r
(much stiffer would be tough for the street IMHO -although apparently you can go on the stiffer side with Motons and be set up okay for the street)
to around for mainly track use 800f/1200r or so

I'm running JRZ RS club sport shocks with 500# front/700# rear. I can second Basal's opinion; anything more would be too much for the street. It's pretty stiff now driving over 2" road seams that pop up here in the Midwest over winter. Very nice for track and autox. BTW, this is my only car.
