I'm not sure how Porsche would know if an indy transfered the title directly from one owner to the next.... the deal could LOOK like an indy was selling it, but to porsche it looks like a private party sale.

was that price out the door? or before taxes, registration, etc.? just curious what the out the door price was?

enjoy!
No CPO or extended warranty. I think someone was just commenting on it above... $42,150 is the price out the door, plus sales tax and title/reg fees which are nominal... Dealer did not have any crazy charges like I expected them to have!

Paperwork is taking forever... Hope to pick it up before the end of the year!

Here is a car in Utah near Salt Lake that was my #2 pick. Nice looking car and nice guy Nick to talk with. It still has 3 years and I think around 30k miles left on the platinum extended warranty. Has a few minor imperfections, but nothing crazy for the miles it has...

Here is a link to it:

Definitely a buyers market out there. Recession = everyone selling their toys to downsize their debt. Good for some, bad for others. Just hope the value kicks back up afterward when people start buying their toys back!

I did look at some of the lower priced cars and they always had some problems or mystery to them... One 2002 in Miami, dealer said the engine just had $16k of work done and he tried to spin it as a good thing... It only had 50k on it. How can major engine work on a low mile car be a good thing?

That X50 on eBay says it has had body work done, so buyer beware... But, for those prices, a little imperfection or mystery may be worth it!

Finally home! Love the car! My drive is too steep, so have to cut through the neighbors drive and my lawn!

Here are some pics!

Pics on Flickr

Car is filthy, but you cant tell in the pics! Will get a bath the next few days!

One question, do all the 2002's have side air bags standard?

Funny, I passed a guy in a 928 while I was taking the family for a spin, he flashed his lights at me. Guess I am in the "club"!

Congratulations and enjoy it in the best of health

(IMHO, you would probably like the look of the rear end a bit better if you sent the rear bumperettes to Eric at Bumperplugs and had them painted to match the body color. Eric is the DaVinci of Porsche paint....and a fan of Guards Red)

Still amazes me that PAG built/delivered Turbos with black bumperettes and not the NA Carreras.... .... bit of a personal peave
