If the cpo warranty still come along, that even better.
Since it was a "one owner" car, it probably was not a CPO car. Even if it was a CPO car, the CPO would no longer be valid since it was sold through a non-Porsche dealer.

If a car is under a CPO warranty, the only way the CPO warranty transfers to the new owner is if a) it is purchased from a Porsche dealer, or b) purchased from a private individual.

great looking car and yes you did get a GREAT DEAL! any PPI or warranty? ...as long as things don't go wrong you may have the deal of century. FWIW, i paid $52 and change to a P dealer for a 2001 996 TT (with CPO warranty) 6 months ago and did use the warranty right after the purchase for a major repair...enjoy it in good health.

This is not true... or at least WAS not true. I bought my car through an independent dealer, and when I took it to get its first service was told that it was a CPO car and they transferred my name to it. I have since had an RMS and an oil pressure sensor replaced under the CPO warranty. No problems.

WOW, you are the first person that I have heard of that got the CPO warranty after buying from an independent dealer. You actually got lucky, because that is not supposed to happen. Here is the first sentence under the CPO Terms and Conditions section on the Porsche web site.

"Once the covered vehicle is traded or sold to any non-authorized dealer or commercial broker, this warranty is void. "

Here is the link to that section:

I'd sneak off into a corner and say nothing more.....you are one of one for a deal like this. Like Tim, I've never heard of this before and don't believe it's authorized. Take advantage of a goof in your favor.

This is not a smoking deal with the current market conditions . It reflects the average retail .

BTW, 02/03 X50 cars wholesale in the upper 30's.

If you think that is bad consider a 07 M5 with a 90+ Msrp , four digit mileage and wholesale is in the mid fifties.

If it really is a one owner car, then I find it hard to be CPO. It sounds like it just has an extended porsche warranty. Just semantics really.

was that price out the door? or before taxes, registration, etc.? just curious what the out the door price was?

enjoy!
