Is it the transition from the road to your driveway that is the problem, or is the curb the problem?

Curb is not a problem. The beginning of my drive is steep and then levels out at the sidewalk, and is then at a slight angle. If they didnt level out the sidewalk, it would probably be ok...

LOL a product for everything! Well, the curb is not the problem, it is the driveway angle...

The previous owner of my house had the curb lowered, and reduced the angle a bit. This helps with the Turbo, but I still have to approach the drive at an angle and allow either the left or right front tire elevate first. As soon as the front tire elevates I can turn sharper into the driveway without risk of scraping the front lip. I exit the driveway using the same technique.

Cool! My wife was asking about redoing the drive, but I kinda like going across the lawn! Neighbors probably think we are crazy!!!

Approaching the driveway at an angle other than that formed by using the lawn does not work?

It seems that if you started at one corner of the drive, approaching it at an angle, and then drove across the drive to the opposite side garage entry, you might be able to do it without scraping the front lip.

Works for my van and cavalier, but probably not for the 911... I don't want to chance it. It is a pretty steep angle compared to the flat road...

Too funny! That is what I liked about the 911, it doesnt sit so low... Unfortunately, the curb is not the problem. I wished it was, cause those bridges are pretty inexpensive. It is the steep incline after the curb that is the problem. Nose of my Cavalier rubs on the road if I go down it straight... I have to use an angle. 911 - no way at any angle. Well, maybe a 45 degree angle, but I would still end up in the grass....

I am not that worred about it yet... If I end up killin the grass I may park it at my office. Have some warehouse space that would work perfectly! And no inclines!

Just found out yesterday that it has a Calibre K40 dual remote radar detector installed. Pretty sweet! Saved me a couple of times already on the trip back!

Well, my wife finally yelled at me for killing the grass with my garage approach through the yard, so I chanced a severe angle on my drive and it did not drag! Whoo hoo! Now I just need to master the reverse coming back up the drive. I scraped a little...

Congrats on your first Porsche... and getting a turbo as your first... wow!!! Lovely colour combo.

Talking of driveways, I had my driveway specially made with no kinks at all so that it would clear almost any car. Talk about being addicted to low cars.
