The gear lube I bought last week said Delvac on the box and bottle.

Anthony there is a retail Mobil 1 and a industrial Mobile Delvac gear lube.

If you are buying the retail version sold at Wally mart and your local auto parts store> and if it doesn't say Delvac it's the wrong gearlube.

It doesn't say that it is recommended for LS. Kevin, every Porsche tech that I have talked to says the Mobile LS Synthetic is their factory fill. The Delvac seems to me to be for commercial vehicles. I respect your opinion very much, but I can't get anyone to agree with you. Even the race team at Atspeed uses the Mobil 1 Synthetic LS.

Can anyone take a photo of a bottle and post it? I just had my gear lube changed when I did my clutch and I'm sure they didn't use Delvac.

Well, my Porsche tech at Atspeed just called and he told me that the 30 gallon drum in the shop is Delvac. They only use the small bottles of regular synthetic at the track when they need a quick top off. Kevin, that is why I respect your opinion, you are NEVER wrong. When did Mobil change to Delvac?

The factory fill was/is Mobilube PTX.

Is there a new 'Approved Transmission Oils" TSB that has something other than PTX and the Shell product? I'm at work and can't check.

Jason, due to the EPA restrictions for domestic car manufactures, the only way this oil slips by is thru the industrial devision. Hopefully just relabeled.

Per Mobil's tech sheet on there website.

Mobilube SHC 75W-90

DISCONTINUED - The recommended replacement product is Mobil Delvac Synthetic Gear Oil 75W-90, 80W-140.

Mobilube SHC 75W-90 has been replaced with the Delvac industrial "branding"
