Default 996TT as Daily Driver

Am I crazy to think that I could use a 996TT as a daily driver? All my cars are manual...so a stick in Houston traffic is something I've already dealt with. But...is it "practical enough" that I can get away with it?

No problem. I use mine as a daily driver. If you have not owned/driven a tt before, the only thing you will need to get used to is modulating the clutch in traffic. I live in Miami and drive a minimum of 35 miles a day in moderate to heavy traffic. Look forward to driving my car everyday

Forum member "T2" has over 100K miles on his daily driver X50 IIRC.
Those are year round New England daily driver miles.

I personally think using it as a daily driver is the only way to go. I always feel sorry for folks that have these cars for years with less than 10K miles when they sell. They never get a chance to experience all of the conditions these cars handle flawlessly.

I've never had an issue mechanically with my car that wasn't self inflicted.

My kids still fit in the back so it is a reasonable family car, I love my commute and when I hit the track I experience a whole different dimension of the car.

Some of those folks "you feel sorry for" have track appliances that provide more fun on the track than a non daily driver/garage queen 996TT.

'nother daily driver. I wish the clutch was easier to modulate, but other than that, I have no complaints.

And yes... daily driver... wife took it to work today since I needed to pick up some paint at the local Color Wheel store... I do not let her drive it often or I will loose it...
