Ultimate Motorwerks Brake Duct Kit for 996TT
Folks, I have received enough orders from various people to make it feasable to air freight this kit in.
My friends at Sportec have 12 kits sitting for me. I also have a shipment inbound (fitted with black rings). If you look at the black ring in the picture this can be ordered in various colors. Black, Silver, Polished, Titanium.. This kit is very extensive and replaces the factory radiator shields with new factory OEM units with correct air deflection to allow for the 4" cooling ducts..
The cost is $1,278.00 Which includes the inbound freight and duty.
Here is a picture of the ducts installed (polished)...

Could you please post a pic taken from the inside of the wheel wells? I'm trying to visualize what the ducts are directed toward. Do the ducts require any cutting of the fenderliner? I assume there are no backing plates as well?

The duct passes around the radiator to inner tub/chassis. And yes you do have to cut the inner wheel liner.. To mount the CNC'd mounting flange which is supplied.

Here are some photos of the Sportec ducts on my car. Installation of the front sheilds was simple but I recall that the ducting took some time to get right. You have to cut 3" holes in four different panels (2 on each side). I'm very pleased with the results. I experienced zero brake fade at a DE including letting an instructor/friend drive at 9/10ths for several laps. Plus they look great.

What would really help my "thinks-in-pictures" brain is a shot of the car on a lift that shows the relationship between the duct outlet, tire, and factory baffle (or whatever we call that bit of formed plastic that clips to the a-arm). The pic in this thread makes it look to my eye as though the cooling air is blowing on the inner tire shoulder.
I'm all for brake ducting - I added front and rear ducts to my C5 and never had any fade at Thunderhill. I'd like to do Kevin's kit together with the GT3 factory baffles, but I'd really like a better look at the relationship before spending a kilobuck (or one P.U., Porsche Unit).

Jeff the GT3 air deflector is mounted on the suspension lower arm. It deflects the air from under the car into the rotor/wheel area. But the size of surface area is small. I am not discounting it.. All I know is that a front mounted duct that runs from the front face of the bumper thru the internal void between the bumper and inner fender liner. Passes alot of air.
