Default 996 TT Arena Red

Was this car ever made in this color? Or was it a special job? Does anyone have any pictures of any?

I know there's one in the classifieds.... http://mall.rennlist.com/scripts/fea...uery=retrieval

I thought they only came in Orient red and only in 2001. But maybe this one was a special order if that was a viable option.

Ask the seller for the paint code off of the options sticker, or the VIN #. PCNA can validate options via CoA or by having the dealer check thru eDCS.

It's breathtaking. If/when I get a 996TT I would LOVE it to be in that color.

The add says special order. Since Porsche will paint to any color swatch, I suspect you can also order an old color on a new car. The paint code under the trunk lid would verify it.

As C DeVito said, Porsche will do any color for you as a "special order" for extra cost (you can find out on the Porsche website on the order configurator). Any previously offerred color can be ordered this way, plus any "paint to match" sample as well (will increase the build time, though).

This is my car - being offered by a broker.

It is a special order Arena Red, and IMHO it looks gorgeous on the 996TT.

I've been a longtime fan of the 993TT, and this car is just the best of both
worlds ... Simply elegant and still stimulatingly colorfull.

W.R.T the comment about price - we are negotiable, but I find that you get
what you pay for - there are plenty of "bargains" out there - but very few
jewels that deserve the price - this one certainly does deserve a bit higher
consideration than the average.

I recently talked with Kevin at Ultimatemotorworks, and he and I were very similar in our car searches - I looked for 18 months - saw/considered 8 cars, and finally decided that I was looking at lower cars at lower prices - nice cars still demanded a fair price. Kevin was very similar and said he actually saw 11 cars and flew/ met ownera before deciding on his.

Here are some more pics:

Any questions please feel free to ask or PM me or Cloverleaf.

Comments also appreciated from one enthusiast to another...

Sincerely,

Deetz.

Oh BTW Carmon/Camona is very much darker - with a different highlight more "Plum/Molases" where Arena is more a "Burgundy" with slight blue-ish highlights.

hue.
