So you graduated sc (USC) i presume in 1997, started this company and immediately made $200k for yourself within a year? What company is this and are you public? If not and you need someone to take you public, let me know, this is what I do. How many employees?

Joe,
Thanks for the offer. Right now we are not quite big enough to go public. All it is we do is help our customers locate certain parts that they use for their production. We are not much different from AVNET, Pioneer Electronics, Converge, and the likes of these publicly listed distributors. That should give you an idea if you follow the markets in the tech sector.
As hard as you may find it to believe for someone young to get started so quick upon graduation, all I can say is that it is not impossible. I do have many great contacts in the higher ranks of the these companies and they have been instrumental in their support for the company's growth.
If some day I do reach the point where I can go public, that would be a dream come true. I'll give you a hollar then.

I found a used '99 360 for $99,000, but I have no idea if anything is wrong with it, looks good in the pictures and the description didn't indicate any problems. Sounded like it was a daily driver, had about 30K on it I believe.

Oris,
I'll trade you the info on the car for info on your business and how I too can make what you do! How's that sound? Something I do in my spare time is an insane amount of research, as my wife says I research everything to death. I'm happy to share privately just send me a pm or email and we'll take it from there.

honestly, not to sound doubtful, but I just dont see a USC grad making $200k first year out of college without any kind of "help". $50k I can see, but the cars were probably gifts like the Oris was.

Joe,
For a guy who wears $15k watches to the gym and doesn't care about paying $70k over sticker for a Modena, you sure are annoying and childish putting your nose in someone else's business and asking him irrelevant questions ... calling him out on how old he is, whether or not he got help financially out of college, basically calling him a liar ... this stuff shouldn't concern a man of such great wealth as yourself ... quit snooping around and answer his car questions, and quit boasting about how money means nothing to you, if no car talk please leave!

Dario,
Thanks for backing me up. If you're ever out here in S.Cal, let me know; I'll buy you a drink. I agree it started to look personal.
Joe,
If I didn't mention it before, the Oris was a gift. Personally I don't care for fancy watches, as the clock function on my cell phone works just fine.
Why do I get the feeling that you won't believe me until you see my tax filings? Do you really NEED to see them to believe me? Why would I make up a story like that anyways? I don't see the excitement in fabricating something like that.

Well Dario:
I could care less what he does for a living, but I get the feeling that he is being deceptive with his story. Like Damien in NJ put it, it just dont make sense for a guy to walk out of a Modena wearing a casio. Maybe it does to you , but to me, that doesnt smell kosher. I never said money menat nothing, but if thats the impression you got, so be it. FYI the $205k i paid on the 360 was an otd price CIF to my front door. How you arrived at $70k over sticker is beyond me. But hey everyone has their own idea of what math means.
But thanks for your input officer. <img border="0" alt="[byebye]" title="" src="graemlins/wave.gif" />

Joe,
Does everyone have to be "bling bling" in this world in order to justify the car they drive much less walk into an exotic car dealership?
Would it bother you to know that Sam Walton of Wal-Mart continued to drive his old Ford F-150 till the end of time? (Go to link below)
<a href="http://www.time.com/time/time100/builder/profile/walton2.html" target="_blank">http://www.time.com/time/time100/builder/profile/walton2.html</a>
You seem to have this imagination that those who buy these cars must dress the part. Do I need Gucci shoes to impress you? Need I dress in Armani to express my background?
I think you need to get off your high horse and tone it down a bit Joe. It's just plain ignorance to assume you have to display wealth because you have it.
