Nice to hear from some fellow USC grads....James, have you looked into a GT2? The prices are great, and in my opinion you get the Ferrari "feel" with Porsche reliability.

Don't pay over sticker for the Ferrari. Dealers who tell you the market is hot and it is impossible to find them at sticker are not being completely honest. When we were looking for cars, we kept hearing the same thing from Ferrari salesmen, yet the same cars sat on their lots week after week....

Used 360s can be found with very low miles for much off sticker.

I think the Ferrari "world" is more willing to maintain the illusion of a bull market. At least Porsche dealers are mainly willing to accept the fact that they need to come down to sell cars.

Jared,

SC too? I didn't know there were so many SC grads. on here.

I've seen the GT2 as well and they are quite the machine. But I don't know if I am capable of handling the GT2 as most say that it takes a certain level of skill. I've heard that the GT2 is more suited for the track than street.

True about what you say about the Ferrari's. I think in this economic climate they will start to let some cars go a bit cheaper than they had hoped to get. However as I found out, quite a few cars are on consignment and the owners aren't necessarily willing to budge.

Thanks for the input.

I didn't graduate from SC, but I'm thinking with all the $$$ being thrown around by SC grads that I either should have or I should go into business printing SC Alumni license plate frames... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Joe,
Are you serious man! You care this much about someone else's business. He just asked for some feedback, you don't have to read anything on this board if it is a waste of your time. I think many people here have intimated but not directly expressed the obvious thought that comes to mind when reading your responses. YOU ARE FULL OF BULL****. Anyone who believes that people need to make instant decisions on very expensive cars sounds fishy. Sure some people make instant decisions on such things, others however take their time. To each his own. Why don't you start by offering any useful info to this board before flaming its members!

Oris,
You are welcome to discuss the merits of any car versus the TT. This forum is here so we can discuss technical issues, purchase options, cleaning methods, modifications, comparisons and anything else Porsche related. If people want to help you on your car search great! Heck I would post a new topic asking to compare the Gallardo to the TT just for theoretical knowledge except there is no real experiential information on the Gallardo yet.

This Joe guy wants to chime in about how rich and successful he is. Well great I am glad you did well for yourself Joe, but so have many of us. You do not make Oris's money for him but you want to spend it for him. All the while you continually demean him while telling us how rich, successful etc. you are. Your useless banter and self-indulgence are ridiculous. If it helps any JOE, your are the richest, best looking, most successful person on earth. Now take your condescending tone, elitist attitude, and your unhappiness over your mid-life crisis and go get a hug or something. I am surprised you can even function in a business environment. I mean with your generalization of the entire Asian race, you must be the poster boy for American business. Bottom line, you are an a-hole and definitely come off as one

Besides, one company already has the entire collegiate license plate frams biz sewn up!

And not to get even further off topic, but I too am very glad to see so much cardinal and gold around here. I'm pretty impressed to see us moving up in the ranks since Sample took over. Time Magazine's College of the Year 2000, top 10 business school, top 10 music school, top cinema school, top 10 school of architecture, top 10 school of education, and a shiny new heisman to boot!!

I can't imagine a more enjoyable time in my life than college. Well...owning a 996TT is pretty close!

I think we should put together a Trojan Porsche meet for a football game next year. We could caravan onto campus in our turbos...how cool would that be!

Ryan,

That sounds good to me.

Cane,

Well said. This forum is for anything P-car related or other noteworthy marques. I didn't mean to diviate too far off topic, but I became a bit offended with Joe's attitude and had to make a stance.

Long live this forum and the people that support it. It's one of the best sites and I tend to look at it as the 2nd or 3rd website on the day after a brief review at msn or cnn .com.

Well this is getting interesting. Caneaddict, do you know the meaning of the word "Perspective"? Can you make an instant decision buying a bag of chips? I hope so. Does that sound fishy? I dont think so. So why would it sound fishy to you that I can make an instant decision on a car? I know Warren Buffet can make an instant decision when buying a company, a house etc.. It is all a matter of perspective. I dont appreciate the vulgarity though, I think you should be a little more eloquent in your tone in the future.

Thanks.

Show me when I said "I am rich" in this post? I simply eluded to the fact that I have the "ablity" to make decisions on purchasing higher ticket items. I stated that I can appreciate nice watches. So is it a cardnal sin that I know what an A.Lange Sohne is? You needn't patronize me pal, I am not the poster boy of american business. Sorry to have come off as an a-hole as you put it, but hey, most salary taking employees think the owner of their company that way. The difference is, the a-hole is the decision making wolf, and the nice guy is the order taking sheep. Which one do you like to be today? Get a Hug? Sure all i have to do is walk into the bank. They all seem to enjoy my company.

Dont get me wrong, I want to see you get the car. If I sound condescending, youre taking it the wrong way. Just think of this as an excercise on decision making. Im sure plenty of decisions have passed through your corner office in your day.

Ken:

Sorry for the late reply, I havent checked my PM until this morning. Bascially, the C4S is Turbo without the turbos. I believe the 2 cars are basically the same. But in my opinion, and its only an opinion, if you are going to fork over $90+k for a 4s, why not just go with a turbo?

Thank you for proving my point Joe, your arrogance is only offset by your continued self-indulgence. I am not going to go into what I do, what cars I have the ability to buy or any other nonsence you want to discuss to boost your self-worth. I'll just have you know as many on this board I am extremely successful and I do not feel a need to divulge the magnitude of my success and the wealth I can throw around by having a pissing contest with someone of your obvious stature. So take care you are the best.

So many fragments in your sentence makes it harder to read. No one wants a pissing contest with you LSM, you stuck your nose in this yourself.
