Great tire. Excellent dry grip, very good wet performance, super quiet for a max performance tire and wears really well.

Thanks for you reply. However, I am unsure of the S-02A's dry performance compared to the Michelin Cup tires currently on my car. I have some hesitation about switching back to tires with more treads, hence less grip, than the Cup tires. I guess I was spoilt by the superior dry performance of the Cup tires.

What's your point? You are comparing two completely different tires. One's a street maximum performance tire and the other is a an R-compund track tire.

I have them on my car and think they're great for the street, good in the wet also. However, they don't hold up well on the track - I've trashed a set at Road America in only a few hundred miles.

One thing to keep in mind- Potenzas are on the heavy side.

A 235-40/18 SO2 weighs 25lbs, SO3 weighs 26lbs, PS2 weighs 21lbs...

Do you weights for the S-02A's? A totally different animal from the other two you mention above.

I didn't realize the S-02A was much different from the S-02.

Anywhere online you could point me for more info on the tire?

For those with SO-2a's, how are they holding up? Do you feel that they're going to last longer than the P-Zero's?

I just replaced my stock S-02As with 20,000 miles (and 3 track days). Overall, I was very happy. The inner edge of one rear tire finally broke through to the cord. Good track tire, good in wet. Noise was no problem.

How do they compare with the new SO3s ? I just got the SO3s for my '96 C4 and am happy versus the noisey S02s.

Do a search in the 993 forum. This has been discussed extensively.
