Regardless, headers are probably unnecessary for 95% of people out there and ported stock manifolds would do the same for much cheaper, but maybe these would not be a bad option for those who reach the point where it is needed.

Can't see that it makes a lot of difference on a TT to be honest

SS headers for $125 seems a great steal

This thread is about porting stock headers.. You can buy the aftermarket headers (most are imported from China, the better one are made in Tiawan), install them, dyno test them, port them and post your results in a new thread.

I own those and they don't line up for $hit. I bought them for "giggles" too.
The flanges are not flat by any stretch of the imagination. I fixed that problem before I did anything because I knew they wouldn't seal for crap.
After that mess was fixed, I offered up the passenger side header to the car and was left with nearly 1/4" gap between the turbo flange and the header mounting flange.
The driver side was the worst. LOL. After bolting the header to the head, I discovered the turbo mounting flange was clocked 1/4" in the wrong direction.

Get your money back if it's not too late.
I'll see if I can find pix of all that I did with them.

well if they don't fit as specified, I will be sending them back of course at their cost but many suppliers also are selling the same product for $400 more

I have forewarned the ebay shipper which has a 99% rating since 2011

I painted the header flange first and lightly ran it over the belt sander.
as you can see it had a lot of "low" spots

Finally I got them flat

This thread is about porting the factory 996TT headers! I should know, I started it.. It pertains to Genuine Porsche Headers and Porting them to improve them..

Go back to post #21 I wrote "However, the main theme of this thread is to port your headers.." Your headers means the factory 996TT headers on your car..

Followed up with post #25

Bringing aftermarket headers into this topic is hi jacking this thread. Again, Post a new Topic and start your own thread..

It's a 12 year old thread I'm not really sure it matters that it drifts slightly off-topic at this point.... All that needs to be said about porting stock headers has been said I would hope....
