No, never installed. I started modifying the flange to make it work but later lost interest.
At the end of the day I figured for $125 it was worth the risk. However, it goes to show, "you get what you pay for."

There are always people pulling threads off topic, nature of the beast, but I'm grateful that this has been renewed as I'm a relatively new owner and Kevin's DIY info is super valuable.

Did you get my PM? Only reason I sent it was because I noticed you were inquiring about them.

I agree, and I also agree that the ported stock header method is the way to go.... However, I don't see the harm in discussing what other people are using, especially if it can circle back around and prove the point that stock or ported stock are the best way to go.

only problem with OEM headers is they are cast metal from what I recall and SUPER HEAVY,probably twice the weight of non cast headers

I recently ported some stock manifolds. Post at https://rennlist.com/forums/996-turb...manifolds.html. The ports definitely needed the clean-up, but I can't say that seat-of-the-pants gains were that noticeable.
Even so, it's a good incremental tweak and these little tweaks do have a cumulative benefit.
