Intro Thread, First Porsche
Wanted to give a quick intro, I'm a long time B5 S4 guy who finally made the jump to this platform. After 14 years with my b5, a cracked block in my built motor was the straw the broke the camel's back. This was the second built motor I had in the car, and I didn't have it in me to build another. I ended up parting the car, mostly to friends in the b5 community, and started the hunt for a 996tt. I've been watching the market for a couple years, and wanted to get in now, as values continue to appreciate. Quick pic of my b5:
And it's usual state
Onto my 911. I was getting tired of constantly having to be working on my b5 for it to sustain the amount of power it was making and after getting the "sure go buy one" from my wife, texted my buddy Christian (PA Euros) and told him I was ready to pull the trigger on a 996TT. After saying no to the first handful that came along, he found one up in Canada that checked the boxes.
- Black/Black w/ Carbon Package
-X50
-56K miles
-Marski Stage 5 700hp package w/ supporting mods (Sachs 2.5, GT2 slave, ect)
I agreed to the price and we had it shipped down to PA. The car was on stock suspension and wheels, so I put a set of PSS9s on it and spacers. It's a black car, and I'm very particular about paint, so I had it paint corrected and ceramic coated. I have a local guy I use that is incredibly meticulous, down to polishing and ceramic coating license plate bolts. It has all original paint, and it looks fantastic now. My first impression driving it was how impressed I was with the power it makes on pump gas and 1.3 bar. For reference, it took my S4 30psi and E85 to make ~600whp. I talked to Marski before buying the car, and he gave me the rundown on it and confirmed the tune was finalized and had been fine tuned by the previous owner and not to touch it lol. "you have a good car, don't mess with it" were his words. I'm very familiar with remote tuning and I was not going to purchase something that's only had a couple revisions. So that's it in a nutshell, the car has some serious power for sure. It will spin through 2nd gear if the road isn't perfect and the tires aren't warmed up (so most of the time). That being said, it's very controllable and I can appreciate how much more engaging this car is to drive than my s4 that had mountains of traction, but no real feedback through the wheel, brakes, ect. I'm excited to start on a new platform after so many years with my s4.I hope to drive it a good amount this summer. I have a B9 S4, Buell, and Honda Ridgeline as well, so it won't be seeing any bad weather. Anyway, here are some pics:

Nice!
Since the car is low miles and already has a turbo kit on you it..you can just enjoy it.
I never got the Evo 8 or 9 I wanted and bought a 996TT because of the same reasons you got out of the B5 S4. No time to resto-mod thanks to my cot'damn job.
Do you know when the kit was installed and who did it?
I would still do a boost leak test on it if you haven't already.

Thanks! I grew up in a house with no garage, so I spent many days on a snowy driveway working on my toys as a teenager/early 20 yr old. I'm 33 now and too old for that so when I bought this house a few years ago I was sure to get a lift of some sort and a wall mounted heater lol. I don't have room for a 2 post, but this mid-rise is great. Here it all all the way up with my buddy's (RTL5009 on here) 997 on it.

lol. Well it still has the sticker in the frunk. I'm not sure how much power it's actually making. I've seen I think ~550whp ish with this turbo setup on 91 and 1.1 Bar. So tuned for 93 and ~1.3 bar I would assume up in the 600whp range. It gets out of its own way for sure. I'm trying to not mess with this one too much, at least not this year.
