Durametric cable got here today. I should have time to run some logs this weekend and see where we're at. Took it out for a drive tonight. 75F and spins in second enough to make PSM cut in. The pilot sports on the car have decent tread, but they're 6 years old and may be due for a replacement, especially if we're going to turn it up a little.

The wheels had been poorly repainted at some point and needed some love. Dave @ Renewed Finishes did a fantastic job stripping, repairing, and powder coating these. I put on new oem center caps and new rear pilot sports as well since the old ones had seen better days. Front tires still had plenty of life left in them.
PSA hollow twists need the oem metal valves stems bc of the barrel design. The solid twists can use the standard rubber ones. Anyway, some pics

$550, which I thought was very reasonable. One of the back ones had a slight hop in it so it was another $90 to true it. $640 all in. Caps were another $210. Thats the cheapest I could find, had them shipped from a dealer in Vegas.

Yeah that is fair! I live about an hour away from y'all so I might have to give them a try.

He’s in the poconos, about an hour north of where I am. The local car guys all use him. It’s just him and son working out of their house, they’re both great to deal with and turn around time was 5 days, including a weekend. They also do calipers and restoration to engine components. He gives you his cell and txts you pic/vids/updates as they work on your stuff.

PSM question: Will the dash light always flash when PSM kicks in? If I spin badly in 2nd, the light will flash showing that PSM is activating. But I was having a hesitation when rolling into boost in 3rd, right as it was building full boost. Ive dealt with plenty of misfires and this didn't feel like one. If I have momentum, like a WOT 2-3, there's no hesitation in 3rd. The hesitation is only when starting out in 3rd and going WOT. If I turn PSM off, the hesitation is completely gone and the car feels great. So I think I answered my own question, I'm just trying to understand the threshold for PSM flashing the dash light vs. not flashing the dash light. It was cold today, around 45F here at night, so between the car making more power, and cold roads, I can believe that it is struggling for traction in 3rd.

The PSM light comes on when the wheel spins from what I have experienced.
As far as the hestitation you're experiencing in 3rd..I get the same thing on my tiptronic. The throttle is alot more sensitive/responsive when it's off versus on and the service manual says on my car the TCU goes into a more sport orientated map.
I'd imagine the throttle is a bit 'muted' with the PSM on so it's easier to drive for normies.

It’s on my list for sure. I do believe the pseudo LSD these cars try to create via braking is still active with PSM off. But I would assume the difference between that and a real LSD is pretty significant. On a positive note, the car is making great power in these temps and has been dead reliable so far. It does get a little lively from time to time, especially now that boost weather is here.
