Sorry for the long delay in updates, for anyone that cares!! LOL...but here's the latest!
Since we're replacing every rubber piece on the motor, we've had to rely on Porsche to get us everything. That being said, a couple of items that came in were either wrong or defective. The last thing we are waiting on is a molded vacuum line that is hard plastic. The one they sent, which took forever, was cracked. So we're starting to get agitated waiting on the replacement. The Shop will probably make their own line today if the OE doesn't show up. Besides that, everything is ready to go in the car. Suspension is set, brake calipers just got back from powdercoating, all other bits and pieces are in. Going with some of the Protomotive intake parts just because I already paid for them, but I wish I would've listened to the shop and many on here and stuck with the factory intake setup. Hopefully this doesn't come back to bite me in the ***. More updates in the coming week!

Things are getting pretty close. Todd and my indy are working on idle and driveability tune right now. Guessing I'll have the car back home on Monday and will need to drive around 500 miles to break in the clutch.
More pics to come....

So interesting story on this. My headlights were not giving me the projection I wanted and the seals were starting to deteriorate. Everything I read said that replacement aftermarket seals were crappy and I had already lost a pair of the stupid washer covers. So I found that Design 911 out of the UK had the only headlights that seemed to have a company stand behind it. There was another 996 turbo on YouTube that I had saw with these lights and also the LED taillights so I decided to go for it. I ordered both front and back and couldn’t be happier. The light output is amazing, swapping the ballast and such was simple and the tail lights were super easy. Couldn’t be happier.

As an update, 2 days of driving as I’m trying to put about 500 miles on this to break in the clutch, but I’m super happy with the drive ability. Todd has done a great job with that part and so far, everything is great. I did go with a lightweight clutch which, along with urethane tranny mounts and numeric cables, really transmits the NVH into the cabin. Going to swap those mounts out for rubber to reduce that noise, esp at idle. Slightly stiffer clutch feel but wow, the engagement is consistent and smooth.
The new steering wheel is so sweet. Still need to either install the tiptronic clock spring and tap into the extra hot wire or use a diode on the horn wire and tap into that to power the display on the top of the wheel which will then read off of a Bluetooth interface on the OBDII port.
This car is begging me to tap into boost but I’m being patient……
