I am looking at these also. Do you suggest these spring rates for combination track/weekend street use?

Did your coilovers include the radial bearing upper spring seat for the front?

Any clicking or noises in bumps or turning?

No issues with the turning or any quality issues as of yet with 250 miles on the set. The top hats on the front are steel and feel really solid. I do have the radial bearing upgrade, it is a Japanese bearing.

As far as the spring rates I would say that my setup is more biased towards track over street. I would give the streetability a 5/10 which is good enough for me. I would call it fair. I live in an area with smooth roads but if I did not I would want to pull that back a some. When I set the valve below 15 clicks the compression is good but the rebound dampening is too low resulting in the setup being bouncy, so I've found that those softer settings don't really work on surface streets. They may be fine on the highway. When I crank them up to 20+ the compression and rebound feel proper and the handling is insanely good, but it is fairly stiff. 30 clicks is really stiff but this might have value at the track. If you had my spring rates and opted for the 442 upgrade kit you could make it more streetable because you are then able to adjust the compression and rebound dampening separately. By lowering the compression dampening but then keeping the rebound a bit higher you would be able to absorb more bumps without bouncing back too harshly. If I did this spring rate again I would opt for the 442 upgrade but then you are getting into a pretty big price tag around $3500 but I think it would be worth it. So you will be making a bit of a compromise by going this stiff with the 441+ kit. The 443 kit takes this further with high and low speed dampening but those are over $5,000. I think the external canisters they use are from Penske so they are expensive.

Some pics. I could go lower in the front but it would cut into my droop preload. The rear will go easily much lower. I can stick 1 finger between the wheel and tire with 19s. I thought this was a decent height for a street car. Yes, we stock premium gas at the farm.

Of topic, but are your spoiler rams out for repair? Or you like the look without the top spoiler on?

I took them off to experiment with fixing them. I took the rams all apart but have not done much with them just yet.

Well I joined the Chinese coilover club this week.

Some might call me crazy taking off a $9000 set of JRZ's for a $1500 bare bones set up but a friend of mine made me an offer that was too good to refuse. He paid for everything, having the JRZ's removed, bought the set of Feals with the install, corner balance and alignment. The JRZ's though had many many track miles on them and were in desperate need of a rebuild. Which was going to be a little pricey and put the car out of action for quite a while.

I have to say I'm pretty impressed. For $1500 they are a million times better than the stock North American set up. And having the damping adjustability is nice. I set the car up for total comfort, had the ride height set to around 25 1/2 inches all around dampers set to soft, 5 clicks in the front 10 clicks on the back. Soaks up the bumps nicely. My friend who bought my JRZ's really wants my GMG sway bars so I'm considering cashing in on them and going back to stock bars just to add more comfort. Not sure about that though. I've always liked a firm spring, stiff sway bar and soft damper set up on my cars. I have that now with the GMG bars.

is it worth selling the GMG and getting a set of eibachs?

Eibachs work great, just heavier.

Not sure. The thing is I will no longer be tracking this car so I probably only need just an adjustable rear bar, if that. Still thinking about it.

What is the final opinion on the Chinese coilovers? I have stock suspension with 100K miles on it. The struts are not leaking but starting to show some play as well as the upper mounts. Do you recommend replacing all 4 corners with the coilovers for street and a few DE a year or springs and bilsteins ?

Unsure how the basic Feal coilovers set would fair for track use. Springs and Bilsteins are not much of an improvement over stock IMHO.

For your suggested use I would step up to the Ohlins R&Ts.

I think they would work well on the track. You would want to go with a stiffer spring setup.
