Years ago, when I actually did fun things on a regular basis, I was water skiing in Howe Sound with a friend and I mis calculated his turn and went the opposite way across the stern, by the time I knew I was in trouble and let go, I figure I had to be going close to 50mph when I hit the water.
Water is not soft at that speed, the impact absolutely knocked the **** right out of me.
It is understandable why folks may be a little leery of going in a micro boat that does 84mph...

I have a stand up jet ski with a modified engine with porting and pipes and tons of stuff to make it work. I think it does about 55-60. I let some friends ride it and they will get confident and fall off at that speed and their bodies will tumble and skip like a stone across the water lol.

Good times.
They would do this neat race around Lake Havasu in AZ - 100+ miles around the perimeter, killed the highly strung ones really good, something that looks fun to try.

The GTC4 Lusso comes in two configurations; 6.3L V12 AWD or 3.9L TT V8 RWD. The only ways to distinguish between the two are the wheel design, opening the hood, reading the interior badge, or listening to the motor. The V8's sound is unfortunately flatulent until the tach hits 7k, and doesn't come close to the aural spasm of the V12:/

The 991 is a bigger car and you sit much more in it. The center console changes definitely create more of a cockpit for the driver. The 996 and even 997 are much closer in spirit to the G-body, which was my first 911, having smaller internal dimensions and better overall outward visibility Compared to the turbo, power delivery of the GTS is obviously more linear with a much better soundtrack. The modern tech and better fuel economy when cruising makes it a better GT car. But I am not much of a fan for the 7 speed. I live in OR and the sport suspension setting is too stiff for optimal canyon carving, so I rarely use it. I don't love that the sport and sport plus buttons impact rev hang in different amounts (without any sport mode selected the rev hang is unacceptable). All that said, the GTS is my wife's car and she loves it, especially the 18 way seats and their ability to hold her tight. If we take a 911, this is the one she prefers to be in.

That being said, I love my manual more, so I drive the 991 year round, park the 996 in the fall.
