This one has 190k but is completely baselined and up to date on maintenance. It should last a looooong time. I was planning to buy a nice clean stock one to build, but when I found this nice clean one with all the mods I would have done anyways, for less than a stock one to boot, it was a no-brainer.
I do agree the tech was pretty good back then, but now it's crazy outdated. I traded my D3 S8 for this thing, and I have to say I miss the Audi interior dearly. It is just on a completely different level.
Did some light offroading today and it sure does feel good to run over things. It even tucks the tires! I've never had a big lifted thing before...I'm so used to driving cars slammed to the ground where I'm constantly avoiding things. This is different.

Heheh yeah, everything is a road on these. Im glad its not ridiculously jacked up. Considering my parents never knew anything about cars and just let the dealers deal with it, they changed oil on maintenance interval at the dealer. For all the years they had it, it needed oil gas and tires. Literrally in 2019 the ecu died, hid lamps died, engine grenaded after a coolant flush, replaced engine, stability and traction would make the car veer everywhere while driving, so they traded it in and still got 9 grand for it lol. That truck lived through almost 20 years of neglect; with the care you put into your cars that beast should last a very very long time! Also how do you like the "night vision" on it? Ive saved lots of bambis with that!

It is a fibre splicing trailer - we can feed the fibre inside so everyone can work in comfort, in the cold. It also helps with the fibre itself, which does not like to be cold. All aluminum, 10kw genny, lightweight, so we can roll it up beside an access point and they can splice away!

Fluke and Fukagawa... We just picked up a couple of Fluke Sure Shots, a little easier to handle in the field for checking continuity. OTDRs are used more so if there are problems...

I never graduated past the MicroScanner but man was that thing handy when I was working as a field tech for a complex that was built in the 70s and had 0 documentation about the cabling layout.

That would have driven me nuts.

2.5 years in I was still finding IDFs that nobody knew about with old catalyst switches chugging along in 120 degree heat.

Thumbs up

The wife's machine below and she loves it.

I also should add that due to my wife (Cathy) of now Plus 37-Years.
She has Signed-Off on me ordering the GT4 if everything can be worked-out with Porsche of Nashville.

Once upon a time I actually owned the ONLY 5-Speed Automatic 2008 Bullitt Mustang in the World that we know of.
(Note: All Bullitt Mustangs from Ford came with a 5-Speed manual transmission ... ONLY)
It also had 1,000 HP at the Crank.
Highly-highly built ................
