Heheh yeah, everything is a road on these. Im glad its not ridiculously jacked up. Considering my parents never knew anything about cars and just let the dealers deal with it, they changed oil on maintenance interval at the dealer. For all the years they had it, it needed oil gas and tires. Literrally in 2019 the ecu died, hid lamps died, engine grenaded after a coolant flush, replaced engine, stability and traction would make the car veer everywhere while driving, so they traded it in and still got 9 grand for it lol. That truck lived through almost 20 years of neglect; with the care you put into your cars that beast should last a very very long time! Also how do you like the "night vision" on it? Ive saved lots of bambis with that!
The bumper mounted sensors/cameras are unplugged due to the steel bumper, so the night vision is only partially functional. I tested it on my drive home and was not impressed haha. Seems like a gimmick to me, but who knows, maybe it's actually ok if all the cameras are functioning.
Yea, the values of these things are kinda crazy for what they are. There's definitely a big "overlanding" craze happening right now.
I still think that car is absolutely stunning and timeless in design. Mine was black on black with all of the windows (including the windshield) tinted, and blacked out taillights. Lowered about 1-1/2” and black wheels. I still catch myself doing double-takes at clean ones when I see one.

This is my 1997 Land Rover Defender 90 in Beluga Black. Follow my IG @97DFNDER90 where my Porsche sometimes makes an appearance. One of my favorite questions when meeting car people "so... what else is in the garage and where/how do you keep them?"
Nice AA Yellow. Don't think that old school Camel Trophy brush guard hanging on the wall went unnoticed by everyone.
Haha....thanks. I actually had the brush guard long before I had the real thing. I actually used a photo of that brush guard on the wall as a post when looking for a real Camel, it went something like this. "Guys, this is all I have of a Camel Trophy, who wants to help me get the rest of the parts I need??" This one is currently getting all of its original decals back on. German Team 1998 Truck.

Nice to see other LR enthusiasts here!
I had a '94 Disco I for a while back in the day, great truck.
What else but LR could you get back then that could run full time four wheel drive, V8 engine, and manual transmission? (not that old LR's are without issues! )
I've got my eye on the JCB 1CXT, Compact track loader in front with a Mini-Ex on back. High flow and able to take attachments found on both types of machines. Pretty much a dream Machine for me.
