Default 02 Turbo Tip leak, possible trans or other

FIXED: ATF Cooler: $1295 out the door. $717 For the part. 2 quarts of fluid replaced. Part number: 7222700495

Hey gang, just thought i would throw this out there. I will ultimately be getting a full diagnosis, but thought I would ask for a little insight from the forum members!

I have a leak on my 02 turbo tiptronic. Just wondering what you guys can make of it with the pictures I have provided.

The puddle is after approximately 18 hours. and is under 12 inches wide.

Thank you!

I do not think that is transmision fluid. Could you collect some on a white paper towel so we can see the color more clearly?

First thing is you need to get under there and clean the build up. That’s a lot of buildup and a lot of fluid loss. Once it’s clean lay some white paper underneath and see what color is. My WAG is trans is leaking and new gaskets.

Isn't it the tiptronic oil cooler at the end of those two hoses? Can it be busted? A good clean up of this area and the car on a lift while somebody start it and select gear is a must to pin point the leak.....
