Default Car won't advance

Was at a light put the car in first gear heard a metal break sounds in the back immediately no more power car could advance only on idle. Stop,the car restart put in reverse again go only very slowly forward the same. Stop the engine put in first because small hill the car continue to go put in reverse the same. Start the car put in fist only goes very very slowly. Tks for your help Ron

Sounds like your shift linkage has broken.

when you put the car in gear doe you hear metal sounds? look under the car and see if the linkage has popped off. pass side by the axles

No sounds when I put in gear. Actually two weeks ago my garage have change the shifter box for a new oem GT

I think your new shifter has disconnected itself.

pull the boot up from the shifter and see if theres a cable popped off or popped out of the base

After putting on the lift the left side of the shaft was broken. Should I change both at the same time 1000 00$
