It's the side bolster I'm talking about. It's been abused.

Seems the Turbo S models and X50 cars are going for 60-80 range..mostly high 70's.

Are the X50 cars really worth the extra?? Especially if one could be had for $60K?
First off, I assume it is Coupe and Manual. Cabs bring less money, Tiptronics bring way less money.

IMHO, $60K for mid 50K miles, X50 or not, is a big ask unless the car is perfect. and I mean perfect. In general lots of folks go gaga over X50, I don't really care as much. You can tweak a non-X50 performance so easily with an $900 cobb tune that the extra power isn't all that important, and the PCCB brakes can be great or a huge hassle depending on their condition.

-Yes, Coupe.
-Going to see it tmrw.
-Pics look like car is almost perfect but we'll see.
-BUT, tune an X50 and don't you get even more?? I'd think so.
Now the brakes I'm not sure on. School me!! If they're bad (explain if you will), what is the hassle beside extra cost?

Not all X50s have the carbon brakes. It was an option. I'm glad mine didn't come with them - just because they're sooo expensive to replace.

I specifically wanted an x50 because I don't plan to mod my car and it's just a touch harder to find and I think in the long run will be worth a bit more.

Good luck hunting.

The one I found has yellow calipers and the gentlemen said they were carbon brakes.

The pictures in that one are red - which aren't carbon.

I like that one in Portland myself. If I hadn't just bought my black x50, I would've considered it.

Are you a bigger guy? Have you sat in a 996 with Sport Seats? I'm only 5'5 140lbs and the Sport Seats feel a bit tight for me.

Yeah, the link I posted in OR isn't the one I found locally with the yellow calipers...Sorry if I confused you.

Was just sharing what I found and then posted the link also.

I'm 6'2" and 255-260 lbs. lol
Not a small guy.

I might need to check one out first i guess. lol

I'm still struggling a bit to find my perfect comfy spot in the sport seats - seat seems too high, or too low, and I can't seem to get the back adjusted in a way my head rests on the head rest comfortably.

I hadn't sat in Sport Seats before I bought either.

Very nice car, it's been on CL for several weeks. I think he's going to have to drop to mid 50s to get out of it though, problem is he bought high from a P-car dealer and wants the same money.

Turbo S are more expensive than regular X50s. I wouldn't put them in the same bucket.

x50 with 5xk miles might sell for $50k, at a stretch. Not $60k unless it's some crazy awesome ultrarare PTS color like Albert blue or champagne beige or similiar.

Check out BAT for what cars sold for there.

Gottcha !!

I don't need an "S", but do like the X50 option. I'm liking the one in OR more than what I found here anyway due to color.

The one here is Polar Silver (bluish tint to it). Nice buy I don't love it! Unless it'll be better for resale being more rare?
