Rare Low Mileage White Porsche 996 GT3 Gets BBi StreetCup Roll Bar & Chassis Set Up

(Click on images for higher resolution)

Our client took delivery of this immaculate Porsche 996 GT3 with only 8755 miles on the odometer and brought it to us to make improvements for spirited driving and occasional track weekends. We installed our BBi 996 / 997 GT3 Street Cup Roll Bar to properly mount harnesses and increase protection as well as giving it our signature corner balance & alignment setup to improve handling. Here are some pictures of installation process and additional information that that we would like to share:

Only 8755 miles on the odometer when it was brought to BBi Autosport

Like many who think that it's a shame that we powdercoat over welds of the roll bar, this particular client commissioned us to build a custom one-off uncoated bar using stainless instead of chromoly.

Nice find! One part of me feels that it's a shame to modify such a rare car with super low miles and the other part screams YES! Get it on track and drive it like you stole it. Looks like a really strong and well built bar.

Thank you everyone for the great feedback! I personally almost cringed at the thought of modifying this museum piece.
