Default Looking for a good exhaust for 996 gt3

I'm interested in a good sound exhaust which can pass smog. Preferred non fabspeed?
Any good suggestion?
Many thanks

I absolutely love my SpeedTech! May be too loud for some but the sound north of 5K puts a smile on my face every time. Can be fitted with 100 or 200 cell race cats:

Wo doing cats all muffs pass smog but if the tracks u go to have sound restrictions it's a pita to modify aftermarkets to pass sound. Also some muffler systems are way to loud ie pretty much straight pipe is way too loud for the street. Cargraphic sounds nice if they still make them. Mike

Why prefer non- FS? Our 996 GT3 exhaust was re-visited earlier this year, and now makes more HP & torque, than ever.

I loved the FS stuff on my GT3: Headers, 200 cell and sport cans were perfect for me. I did the muffler delete but too load for me on street.

Our 996 GT3 system passed the current sound regulations at Circuit Mt. Tremblant this season on a few different cars...we also have optional turn down tips that can be fitted to direct the sound in more stringently regulated environments. Our track turn down tips are a direct swap and can be fittted or removed very easily in just a few minutes...

lakid042 - it's great to hear that you are still enjoying the system - great job on that video, too!

+1 for the Speedtech system. I have the cat pipes and will be adding the mufflers soon...they sound so good!

I do like most all exhaust upgrades, but after much input I went with the Europipe back when I upgraded:

I didn't think you could just change systems without changing perimeters in ECU mapping etc.

another happy speedtech exhaust owner here. i highly recommend... totally modular, you can go straight pipe muff delete or put the small muffs, very quick and easy. same concept for cats, delete or inline.

i have the small inline muffs and straight pipe in place of cats, works perfect, loud on the track but sounds a lot better and not as loud as bypass pipes (ie: fabspeed).

excellent quality, good price, awesome customer service. no affiliation, just a happy customer

I've been considering this exhaust, but not sure if it will pass sound. Any idea how loud this exhaust is at 50'?

i havent measured db levels... the track i typically go to does not have sound restrictions. but its loud, no question... not as loud as my previous setup's however:

muffler bypass (fabspeed) + stock cats. very loud and crappy sounding.

muff bypass + cat bypass (custom one piece unit) and it was CRAZY LOUD. open headers essentially. WAY too loud even for the track!!

my setup now speedtech system: small inline muffs + cat bypass, its loud, but not as loud as my previous setup's as mentioned above. sounds a lot nicer. might be a good idea to give the guys at speedtech a call and ask them if they have noise data. my guess... 100-105 db at 50' off wall.

Yes, we did some testing with the cats and in-line mufflers - we measured 89-91db @ 50' at 3500-4000rpm's. Also, the system has passed a 92 db track at full WOT without our optional track tips.
