Default 1999 Mk1 Gt3 Bolt on power

My Mk1 Clubsport has been remapped to 384Bhp by the best in the UK ( Wayne Schofield) but as usual we owners are never satisfied...
Am I right in saying the 997 plenum mod is not suitable for an early model as it is a cable throttle?
Are there any bolt on tweeks to give a bit more on a Mk1? Tried and tested though not just hype. Idealy some midrange torque increase.. oh and more power !!

Though it doesn't add any hp u can regear or a 4.0 rp or both. U be always in the beefy trq band. Very noticible seat of the pants feel. Na motors are tough to produce any more useful power with bolt on mods. Only real power is increase the 3.6 motor to 4.0. Get some pro coaching- u will lose seconds per lap vs any car mods. Mike

Thanks for the tip on tuition , that pic of my car is actualy Sean Edwards Porsche Supercup driver instructing me, I am aware of the value of tuition.this was just a light hearted ask re power and torque not how do I reduce my lap times thread.
With Sean driving it became all to apparent that the car exceeds me

The FVD link on the other reply doesn't work for me can you expand on it?

Cheers
Mike

You won't get any meaningful hp upgrades with bolt ons. It won't happen. Mike

I'm not able to get this site to put the link in plain text, but search fvd.de site for item 220 110 907.

It's a slightly larger throttle body/plenum (one piece for the cable mk1), 79mm versus 76mm stock, giving appr. 7,5% larger area through the TB/plenum.

A good aftermarket exhaust and remap will bring some extra hp, but I think the most gain in performance one can do to the car is the lower gearing.

Probably not beneficial to mid-range power, but I've read that an intake scoop on the rear deck lid is good for a few ponies on the top end.

the only way is to open up the engine and do a capacity increase or/and schrick cams.
ask parr or regal or jzm or 9mm

Good on you re coaching by Sean E! You definitely have the Pro-coaching thing covered

I think you'd do better by trying to lose (additional) weight as opposed to trying to add power at this point. Or improving the suspension.. GL

Manthey K400 claims +35hp and +35NM, quite a few owners who have dyno'd their cars reports that these claims are conservative and that they see quite a bit over 400hp.

People can also make up their own mind about this article, but I do belive the reported gain should be correct, given all measurements are done on the same dyno:
