Default Time to get serious. WTB 996 GT3

Looking for a low 30k miles or lower gt3 with no stories no accidents and limited or no track miles. Prefer white, cobalt, red, or black (in that order).

Thanks!

BTW, can someone explain to me the Type2 overrev stuff? I see this requested and shared in for sale threads, but not sure what the data means? For example:

"Type 2's: 149. Last was at 166 hours."

Or am I completely mixing terminology somewhere here?

I would suggest you just sit down and spend a few afternoon and evenings reading through the must read threads and then use the search function for individual information. I found this to be an invaluable source of information and answered most of my questions and answered others that I did not even realize I needed to know.

This is trully one of the greattes treasure troves of information you can every find. Good luck and ask for help when you need it, welcome to our world.

I'll know more in March, But Mine may be on the Market at that point. Bone stock, DaSport HalfCage, Grill screens, 997SSK, pedals, Dension Gateway 500, Cayenne slotted/dimpled rotors up front (spare stockers), Clearbra on 75% of the car, and 43K miles...

30K mile service done right before I bought it. I really do NOT want to sell this car and will not give it away.

To long to hijack this thread. Economy, business, and things beyond my control may force it. I will know more next month.

Sorry to hear Mike. Hope everything improves for you. I couldn't imagine having to be GT3-less.

Mike,

Saw pics of your car. Looks good even though it's not one of my primary color choices. I used to have an s2000 in that color so I know it has advantages. Do you track your car?

Roughly ...
Ignitions - ie number of ignition fires at that rpm ie 200 is a fraction of a second
Hrs - when it happened, so if car has 300 hrs now and that was at 166 ie long time ago
If something was wrong re overrev you'd know already.

Ps - you'll read this a lot here if you search but untracked gt3s aren't necessarily better

^I concur- untracked cars that u want to track not the best host to track- they will grenade on u. If no track then no worries : ). Mike

Although I'm an instructor and track "A" car, the GT3 has not been tracked while I've owned it, and wasn't tracked much if at all by the other two owners before me. I bought it primarily as a weekender until I can afford to do all the necessary things like clutchkit/Flywheel, Diff, water pipes and the like...

Forgot to mention I also have Joe Toth's splitter (times 2) and his dive planes are on order. I also have control arm shims (couple sizes I think) and both 4 and 8 degree wing shims for the car as well. 8 degrees installed on the car now.

rebumping! In case someone on here has one and thinking of selling. Prefer white...

Perfect car would be..
White
Under 30k miles
Under $60k (anything over...um..it better be a garage queen with 5k miles max)
No overrevs in ranges 3,4,5,6
In California

I'll take cobalt blue, red, yellow or black if the other aspects are decent.
