996s have different over revs. There are just two ranges.

Just more ideal for me so I can check it out in person over a weekend or weekday. It's not a deal breaker if not.

We only have type 1 and type 2

Type 1 is 8200 - bouncing off rev limiter - not really bad
Type 2 is > 8200. No specified ranges as to how far over just total time over

Number of ignitions not time. You can extrapolate a guess of time based on various rpm numbers where the zing could have happened.

Porsche Motorsport has told me that an occasional zing to 9-10k will not hurt these engines

Try getting warranty (CPO) service on a DME report that shows that.

Bone stock aside from fabspeed cat-back , not tracked by me (lightly by previous owners), perfect condition, never selling. 43k miles and counting. Will be garaging it very soon.

I'm afraid to check my car for type 2 overevs since I did shift from 5 to 2 going 130 plus mph : (. Happened at 11k miles on the clock. Car has 24k miles now. At time of incident just had 4.0 r/p, full guard 80/80 with case and 3.8 rsr pp/clutch and 6 cup fw done prior. The pp saved my engine as it grenaded pretty instantly. Only 1 1/2 sessions on pp : (. Help me find my unicorn! White gt3 is impossible to find. Cobalt is ok too after seeing pics of it.

I thought you are in the final stage of purchase with that 7gt3 down in SD? Or are you getting a 6gt3 as well

That SD one came back with a bad PPI. I'm in the market for either. Budget wise a 996gt3 is more ideal, but if I find a nice 07 I'm willing to stretch a bit.
