This is the first Amatuer event at Circuit of the Americas in Austin Texas.n driving again this coming weekend.
Yes we run NT01 and R6 love the nt01 longevity and grip. Rotate them and we get 45-52 cycles on them.

Encountered a crushed Oil Line on the car and as it was the main feed directly from the bottom of the car it required the replacement of the oil tank. The tank of course was not available in the US and so we contacted LAPD Los Angles Porsche Dismantlers who where able to provide us with a tank in great condition that could be installed.
CRUSHED LINE
THE OIL TANK INSIDE OUR CARS
The motor of course had to be dropped completely out of the car the old tank removed and the new one installed.
It all worked out and we made it to COTA for the weekend.

Thanks Porsche did a great Job
Thank you sir, it's such a pleasure to have people like you to hang out with. Enjoyed COTA but frankly like so many other tracks, and the high speed fun of TWS is really better set up for our cars IMHO. I'll still be back every time they let me though.

Great news. We dropped the motor again and found a simple split hose was creating a vacuum leak in the system which in turn caused all the sensor misreads as pistons were not firing properly. While we have the motor down we plan to make some addition changes and upgrades.
First we will pull the coolant fittings send them off to GMG and have them welded in place. We are also looking at some cat delete options on the GMG muffler.
Second we will replace the motor and transmission rubber mounts with durometer 75 mounts to tighten the drivetrain up which is the only remaining rubber in the system.
We will also most likely fabricate mounts to put either the Champion or the GT3 997.2 inter coolers in place of the stock one we run now.
Finally we may look at a turbo upgrade since the motor is well suited for it.
May also do some minor head tear down just to check the internals that's really up tot he team, I'm not claiming to be qualified to make that call. We are also looking for a drop motor that we can build up completely as a duplicate of the monster created by GMG and have it ready in the shop in the event of major failure when we have a busy schedule.
Anyway I'll keep everyone posted in the progress thanks to all for the support and help.

Von, car looks great! Was very fast at COTA too. I was driving the red 02' 996 Turbo in Nico Rosberg's garage. Looking forward to meeting at some other tracks here in TX. Take care!
