Yeah, let's get this going. If you have a shop that has done the repair for you, post it up and I'll put it in the #1 post. We can then make it a sticky if folks deem it worthwhile.

Did you use the stock fittings? Is there an issue with differences in materials? I was contemplating the Torque Solutions fittings as replacements. Any thoughts on those?

Yes, stock fittings were removed, cleaned and welded. No issue with the aluminum, cast or not. Use the appropriate filler rod when Tig welding and it's fine.

I don't know anything about the Torque Solution stuff.

I don't think MB Euromotors has a main website. This one may do for now. If "Bernie930" here on RL says otherwise, listen to him.

Cantrell Motorsports in kirkland, WA does a great job at welding the fittings as well. My car will be in there in a couple of weeks.

Ditto for the Houston area!!!!!!!

Although i live in Louisiana, I am in Houston quite a bit.

Funny but frustrating story, I spoke to a few shops in Louisiana about the coolant hose repair on my car and all I got back in reply was this " deer in the headlight stare" after my inquiry. Frustrating to live in an area where hunting and fishing is what most people do for a hobby. Just not enough following of motorsport related activities to support good repair shops with any Porsche skill set to speak of here.

td - Once i get back in the country i will be doing some research of repair shops in the Houston area. If i find anything, I will let you know.... As well as post here for all to know....

What is approximate cost to get this done at Conway's?
