Rennline wheel studs, any good?
This is for stock 996 GT3 wheels.
I don't want to pollute this forum with another "which studs" to get but search has not been helpful enough...
I read BBS does not not work. Neither does CDOC. H&R has been reported to work. Okay, but which ones? I have no clue about thread/pitch/length. And safety first, I want good ones.
Anyone tried the Rennline ones? I'm making an order from them anyway.
Thanks.

I just bought the Rennline ones. They look great. At this price point, the Rennline units, the ones PJ just posted a link for, and a few others like BBS are all a great middle of the road option. I ran the BBS ones previously and they were just fine as well.
Who told you the BBS studs didn't work? I ran them with the OEM wheels, BBS E88's, and Fikse Motorsport wheels.

Next step up would be the bullet tip studs (but IIRC the same material) and then the cats meow would be the ARP studs at about 3x the cost.
When I say middle of the road do not infer that they are low grade, just realize they are not the "top shelf liquor". Nothing wrong with Absolut vodka, I just prefer Grey Goose. However, when it comes to studs, the Absolut for us DE guys is more than adequate. Leave Grey Goose to the NASCAR and Pro Teams that beat the crap out of their equipment in one weekend what would take us years to do.

If I was building another race car (which I am NOT!!!) then I would go with the ARP studs. But right now, my money is better spent on middle shelf liquor these days
I actually tried to throw some business the way of "race-studs" when choosing my studs but ultimately chose Rennline for price (they have their holiday 15% off sale) and customer service.

rennline and race studs look pretty much the same...
my only suggestions is to buy a couple extra studs and nuts while you are buying and keep them handy... I have not had any issues... but I am prepared.

I actually forgot to do that! I talked to Tom at Rennline yesterday and he said that even though they don't have a place online to order individual studs or nuts, you can call them and they can do it. I need to do that. Not so much replacement studs but nuts. You always seem to lose one. Not sure how, but it happens!
