Thanks Moot, appreciate the visit

Yeah, no cage but hopefully the "harness bar" does offer some protection.

California Dreaming is just that, dreaming. Oh how I wish. Trying to get company to move me to Raleigh, it's a start

Glad things worked out with you getting your car home. Must be a good feeling, one day hope to have one myself. Maybe next year you can take me for a ride around Calabogie, I'll show you all the fast lines
I used to spend lots of time in Cape Harreras, NC, east coast on ocean. Loved surfing and windsurfing. How a CDN boy fell in love with surfing, I don't know.
Lots of snow here yesterday, time to start the winter mods. Have yourself a good winter.

Cheers,
Geoff

Thanks Geoff.

I go down to the garage at least 3 times a night and I've got a few trinkets to install, but it's getting long already and it's only been about 1 week, 3 days and 6 hours.

no, NOT A harness bar.
get a ROLL BAR (not cage) but a full roll bar behind front seat. harness bar does very little good. great for AX, not so for track use.

That might be what I have. It's the Tequipment stainless steel (?), or at least polished steel one, P/N 996 580 981 00, bolted to the seat belt mounts. To me, it looks like a roll bar, but I thought I heard it called a harness bar before

It's like this, so hopefully good enough.

Mike, not arguing but here's what the P website says:

High-quality stainless steel roll-over system offering greater occupant safety and vehicle rigidity. Includes installation kit and cross brace for attaching a six-point harness.

* Coupé models:
Part no. 996 580 981 00
I'm really confused now. What would a real roll bar look like?

mike is saying it's not the best roll bar. but it IS a roll bar.
harness bar is one horizontal bar connecting the two b pillars, it's only use is for you to hook up a harness. you are fine. could do better, but it's fine

Better half bars are tied to rear strut and seat bell anchor with adapter plates to tie to chassis to seat belt anchor. Merely tied to just seat belt anchors up front and to seat belt anchors in rear seat is just what it is- a harness bar. There are better roll bars but as mooty said your bar works fine for 6 point harnesses. Mike
