Question Access To the ECU with the Teq Bar Installed?

Does the Teq roll/harness bar need to be removed in order to get access to the ECU?

You should contemplate removing the passenger seat if you are going to run data leads to the ECU harness. It's a tight fit back there.

I have a few links saved on how to do the install as well - including getting to the ECU, tapping, running lines, etc. Let me know if you need them.

Sharkwerks write-up for getting to [removing] DME

GT3 DME Tapping and Traqmate Install

Gorman's Install

Dell's Thread on Traqmate Install and Tapping DME

Planet 9 [Cayman Install - same DME pins]

Traqmate Inputs Thread [DME tapping]

I think there are a few others, but I don't have them handy. BUT, this should be plenty to get the job done!

Thanks Tom. I think the front seat removal is key when I think about doing anything near the back seat for longer than 3 seconds....

Staples: That was easy.

It took me longer to take out the seat (Thanks again Tim!) than to get at the ECU. I did need to stretch a little through the bar of course, and, remove one bolt from the r/b to take off the bottom mount for the seat belt; that bolt will not be fun to get back in, but not a terribly big deal.

Great! Did you happen to get some good pics of the tap/lead?

I've been trying to collect some pics of this part of the project.

Roger. I am waiting for my 997 SCU to come in and I'm going to get a few projects done as well, including the SCU, hardwire for camera, and the data leads for my PBox input module.

I'll post some pics if I'm not too lazy to take them

Speaking of hardwire for camera, and idea on a switched source back there? I can pull out my multimeter, but figured I'd ask first.
