Trust me, I have thought of that. It's just a long process that would require me to set aside an entire day to R&R to the old system, bleed, test, and reverse the process.

^all the time trying to find the source and still no answer u coulda done that 1st with the swapping. The 6 pot mite be defective during manufacture much like tires can be out of round even though new. Mike

Trying to understand how the 6-pot could be defective specifically.

By the way, it doesn't take anything to just listen and then check a few nuts and bolts. Swapping the entire system over is very labor intensive.

This post is 6 pages long and counting.... still no definitive answer : ). Don't know specifically what could be defective with your 6 pot- take it off then while u at it put 4 pot back on maybe measure the spacing between the caliper maybe there's more gapping which allows the pads to float around. Now I'm talking thru my a$$. Just trying to help : ). Mike

Talking through our asses is something we all have perfected around here

I'll take a measurement here shortly re: the spacing between the caliper. You may be on to something.

Well I removed the bimbo with "Mooty 4" on her rear and the clunk went away. Problem solved.
