Need some help diagnosing a "clunk" under braking.
Not even sure to call it a clunk or a clink but it happens under braking. Not all the time but enough that has me worried. WHen coming to a stop sign, red light, etc., the braking is nice and smooth and then sometimes just before coming to the complete stop (just a split second before the car comes to rest) there is an audible clunk or clink. I can't for the life of me figure it out.
I have gone back over the entire front wheel carrier and made sure the caliper bolts, cotter pin, etc, are all tightened down.
Any idea what would cause this???

Found a golf ball in the front trunk of a customer car once... Noisy little sucker around town. Also incorrectly torqued strut top mount. Please do tell once located.

I've noticed a clunk sometimes from the passenger-side rear under braking. Sounds somewhat similar to the way you describe it. Happens very infrequently, and only under light to medium braking, not under hard braking.

I wish it was a golf ball in the front boot! I've checked every single suspension piece, wheel carrier attachment, and caliper bolt.
I really am stumped on this one and that is very frustrating. I just replaced the crappy 4 pot calipers with the 6 pot GT3 setup so I assumed I forgot to torque something down, etc.. NOt the case. I am very **** about double and triple checking everything but I still threw the car up the lift this afternoon and went back over everything.
I really hope I get this figured out.

If it's a cha-ching kinda noise it's the dollars of mods flowing out of wallet : ). I was going to say swaybar too. U need a 3rd wheel to help u locate the clunk. Suspension always comes to mind with the front. Now I'm talking out of my *** do u think changing the 4 pot to 6 pot effect the fwd system? I'm reaching here. Mike ps- is temp sensor in front bumper hanging? Reaching again.

I'll go through it top to bottom again and then drag Scott along for some high speed runs with his head hanging out the window to get me a better diagnosis

Did you use those little screws to secure the rotors? Thinking maybe there is a tiny bit of slop with the rotor against the lug bolts if you didn't.
Now I'm getting really curious.....
