I went back to pagids, i ran out and couldn't find new ones anywhere!

ok dumb question: I just put front pads on part number PF78190617. These are performance friction but I forget which pad it is. Anyone know? If not I can get it from OG racing tomorrow.
I will be running these in front and 97's in rear later this week. This on OG's recommendation. They say the fronts will last a lot longer than the 97's and will brake about the same.
I will report back.

First 4 are the application (7819) the next 2 are the compound (06) and the last 2 are the mm thickness (17)

So....OG rec'd you run the HIGHER friction pad up front??? With more brake bias up front you are going the wrong direction.

I thought the 06s are the replacement for the 97s. Yea Dell is right of course. You don't want too much front bias.

Nope, the 06 was developed to deliver the braking of the 01 with the slow wear rate of the 97. Best of both worlds!

Yes I just confirmed with OG that the 06's will give more bite and will also last longer than the 97's. I hate to throw out the perfectly good 97's I have in the rear. Do you think I'll be OK running this combo till the rears wear out?

Others have done it, either on purpose or accident. It should be fine. Worst case, you'll boil your fluid and you'll know it's a bad combo. Your car won't explode. Well, it shouldn't

You'll be fine I have pagids up front and pfc's in the rear. You learn to deal with the bias. Or you may not even notice

And the 01 and 06 are very similar to each other. The big difference is the initial bite with the 06 is a small bit softer but it stops just as well as the 01s. The 06s also last longer and are easier on the rotors. So far I keep the 06s on my car even on the street. Great pads.

I just got back from WG running the 06's in front and the 97's in the rear. The 06's were fantastic and have great bite and huge stopping power. But as I was warned it is not (at least now IMHO) the best combo in a GT3 as too much of the work is being done in front. I will be ordering a set of 06's for the rear tomorrow. There are 3 brake zones at the glen where the pavement is kind of bumpy and the fronts were hopping around too much. As for 06's in rear and 97's in front that might be too much rear bias but since I have not tried it I can't be sure. I will say the difference between the 2 types of pads is great enough that I am inclined to not mix them in the future.

Agree Dave, the 06 F&R is a phenomenal setup and what I ran in the GT3. I'll be reporting my 06F 01R experience in just a few short weeks!
