Kussmaul clarification
Hi
I was lucky enough to get my GT3 used as a demo on a dealer geometry night and thought I would tweek my trackday setting to the Kussmaul settings.
Now that its done I am worried i made an error with the rear toe.
On this Rennlist thread it clearly states + 35 ' each side https://rennlist.com/forums/996-turb...ngs-on-tt.html Would that mean a total toe of 1deg10" ?
On this Rennlist thread it is total toe 35" https://rennlist.com/forums/996-gt2-...-settings.html
Does that mean 16- 17 " per side of toe out at the rear.
Is there a definitive CORRECT Kussmaul rear toe setting or are they both the same and i am missing something?
Mike

The rear toe spec is "+" which means toe-in. 35' is total toe-in (16' - 17' per side) , or about 4mm to 5mm total.
35' toe out and you will be waving to the rear end as it passes you on the way out from the apex

Mike - I am the guy who originally posted the Kussmaul specs, he sent them to me in an excel spread-sheet - which blew my mind. It was as if God had spoken to me directly
Rear toe in TOE IN with a total of 17 minutes per side or 34 minutes total.
Over time I suppose my orignal specs were copied and errors crept in.
Best,

Cheers
I mistakenly got it set to + 35' each side ( toe in!!)
I will get it readjusted, ironicaly it was + 15' on one side ( the other was well out at +2')
Thanks for the help, it was unfortunate ( for me ) the typo crept in.
Just so that i haven't made any more errors what is the toe in or out at the front each side? I have gone for + .05' each side

In front, you can use 0 toe although I prefer 2 mins toe in per side which makes the car more stable on boring drives to the track

FRONT Toe settings are 0 degrees +/- 2 minutes.
So, no toe, or 2 minutes of toe out or, 2 mins of toe in. Note these values are per side. It is important that Caster be 8 degrees +/- 30 mins.

I use a "modified" Kussumaul alignment on my GT3: -3.0 F camber on 245s, -2.0 R camber on 315s. Very little toe (Front Toe 2' in, cross toe 4'; rear 11' in, cross toe 23'). With these settings I am able to swap tires left to right to even wear, and most of the time I don't even have to flip them on the rim. For the most part I get very even wear across the fronts and rears.
