Default Just want to say HI

I bought a 2004 GT3 over the winter from a local racer. This is my first car that has engine in the wrong place. I haven't has a chance to put it on the track yet, but it won't have to wait for long.

I just want to say hi to the GT3 family, and be prepared for thousand of stoopid questions coming from me

last season pic of the GT3 before I bought it

And congrats u going to have mega tons of fun!!! Later on u may want to try castrol srf- I used it for 14 trackdays wo a rebleed and still good but changed it since only had 2 mm left on front pads. I bought the battery and the mount from tirerack. I haven't has a chance to install the battery, but I found this link.

The only concern is that the screws provided by Braille might be too long. I might put a plastic cap on them or just trim them. We'll see.

When I am done with the Motul, I am going to try Endless RF650, this is what all others cool kids are using this month.

First *** engined car, my advice whatever you do don't lift, even if you think you are going to run off the track. If you do you will spin.

Enjoy it, as stock almost nothing is faster except a new F car, and those guys (almost) all drive slow

Congrats Webbie. Welcome to the 6GT3 club from another ex CS'r. It's very different from the CS but in a good way. You'll love and you'll be fast. Are you going to start at Mosport with Apex?

Welcome to the GT3 club.

You'll enjoy the car. Take it slow to learn its nuances.

If the car doesn't have them, think about getting some toe links.

@Backmarker, definitely no lift, doing agricultural at 110 mph is the same as 100 mph.

@Steve, partially your fault giving me a ride last year. See you at Apex.

@Chris, thx for the advise. Hopefully I can make it to Tremblant this year and meet you guys!

^ U can do slight varying lifts with throttle to get nose to point where u want to go but that means u already going too fast there : ). Mike

Other than the battery there is not much more to do to that car.

If your smooth on your lift it will safely tuck in....as you got it the shock settings were on the push side.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Hope you enjoy it!

Thx George. I spent half a day at Mosport Development Track last week, what a car. This small track won't do the car justice. Between you and Marco, there is NOTHING left I need to change, just need to stock up those consumables (oil, rotor, pads etc).

I've been bombarding the Bestline guys with questions for the last two weeks, just to figure out what you have done

Looking forward to track with you guys at the first 6th Gear day!
