^ I'm the type who likes the experiment with stuff(got ne drugs?). If I had motons with canisters I bet I try soft front and stiff rear or vice versa or go diagonal : ). Mike

Hi Mike I say go for it. They help when set up well. Jeff and I ran on same day at LS last year with similar tires (hoosiers and Kumhos) except i had motons and he is stock. my fast lap was 1 second faster. But trust me Jeff is the faster driver and that's not false modesty (i was at track when he did 1:47.xx at SP - very special in a pig like stock gt3).

JVO helped me set them up i ran 600/800 at first but JVO recommended 900 at back after driving it and that helped a lot.

these were my settings for my best times:

On Kumho V710 tires with pressure set (hot) to 31 front and 34 rear. 600# springs front; 900# back. Moton clubsport settings front: 0 compression (full soft) and 4 from soft rebound; rear 5 from soft compression and full stiff rebound. Front sway full soft; Rear sway full stiff.

In time : ). I'm trying to take some pork out of the car. Less weight means less taxing on engine/drivetrain/brakes/suspension so we'll see how far it goes. Removed the door panels- pretty easy once u know where the screws are. Did driver side 1st took me an hour the passenger in less then 10 min. Here are some pics. Slowly but surely- actually I'm kinda liking taking stuff off the car. Mike

I'm lost... does anyone see where the adjuster is located on the strut!!!

You don't have to lay flat on the ground in the pouring rain... slight exaggeration

My hand can easily reach around the wheel, infact it's probably quicker and easier to adjust than the remote canisters, I do know as I have just swapped them out and had to make my way through a maze of a roll cage.

The issue with the remotes is they are prone to leaks (line connection to the strut), the compressed washers are a pain in the ***.

Guys, I have recently installed motons clubsports (double adjustable), and I will try them at sebring this coming weekend, as some of you may know this track is bumpy and feature some high curbs,
Do somebody have the recommended settings for F/R bump and rebound for Sebring?. I'm running on Hoosiers.
thanks,

Lex can give you great input. They are designed for the car so settings near middle of the range are good point to start for both bump/rebound. You will likely find the set up to be a big improvement even before you fine tune the settings.

I have experimented a fair amount and generally run with rebound on middle setting F&R , F bump one softer then middle, R bump one stiffer than middle setting - should be a good starting point. Each car's set up and your driving style impacts the best settings for you.

Suggest you run session with these or all middle settings and then experiment from there. Each click is pretty modest change so initially would suggest you move a F&R pair of settings (bump or rebound) 2 clicks and run a number of laps to feel the difference - easier to tell what changed than if you only move it one click (or moved multiple settings at a time). Get the setting you tweaked to what feels good, then move to another setting. Then go back and fine tune with same process and single clicks after you see how each setting impacts the handling. For bumpy track if too stiff, start with softening the bump settings.

One thing learned the hard way - make sure your sway bar settings are good for your new set up before spending time tweaking the Motons. My first day with Motons and stiffer springs car was oversteering - tried to dial it out only to ultimately find that softenening the rear bar fixed the over steer immediately and the experimenting I did with Moton settings was a waste of time until I got the sway settings right.

Enjoy your new set up!

No no no! ( flame suit on) the bars are the corse adjustment and he shocks the fine. Set your font bar in the middle and the rear 1 off full stiff THEN play with the shocks. Better yet call lex
