So Tony would know what to get and all? So with respect to spring rates what should I be looking at? U know my driving style. I rather go extreme then conservative because I hate changing things frequently : ). Mike

i prefer the softest springs i can tolerate.
if i were you, just give tony a blank chk and leave the car at his shop for 3 weeks.
it will be stripped and caged nicely and moton will be on with the correct spring rate.
if you drop my name, he will give you a $500 upcharge as i charge a fee to feed my car habits.

stop asking so many stupid questions. just do it.

a regular cage maybe cost you $4000. a mooty nice looking cage, he may charge you $6k. i hate ugly things.

Or you could just ping Joe (4porsh) and ask him for my build sheet

That IS the most perfectly setup car.

Moton CS with 550/700# springs. Rear toe links and adj rear drop links. Upper monoball shock mounts and I STILL use the stock front drop link as I haven't found an aftermarket front drop link with good suspension geometry. ps I have never broken a drop link. Changing Dog Bones and adding monoballs to the LCA's is overkill IMHO. I would also change the Hockey pucks in the LCA's to solid.

Love the Motons and the customer service. All i know is that the car sure takes care of business on the track. My friend has Motons on his and loves them also.

I am giving AWE a check and they will set the car up with Motons for the tracks I use, since they know them well. Going on this week! Then next winter the job will be completed with a Sharky 3.9 motor.

Once I found out that a new GT3 or RS would cost my car plus $75-$100 grand (and my 6 GT3 only has 16k miles), this was a no-brainer.

Mike, this is they way to go. Have you talked with Potter about it yet? I know Tony set his car up and he was doing 1:50 at SP with R-comps (not Hoo-hoo's too).

I believe jeff does 1:47 with stock
suspension. I did 153 in stock gen 1 cay with ra1 so Dave must b faster than 150

jeffs car was set up by Tony.

Mike let me put it this way. If u r in sf bay area with watervooled 911 and is not set up by Tony or JWE. Uh.... U have a so so set up.

All sharkys cars are also set up and aligned by Tony.

JUST DROP OFF THE CAR
LEAVE money
then DONE

he's got all parts figured out and has done enough gt3's. Nine gt3 for me alone and 18 porsches in total fir me. If he tells me my cars fine then IRS fine.

You're kidding? Jeff did a 1:47 with the stock suspension? I was up there when Jochen and CJ were doing 1:50's with their 7 RS's on new Hoosiers. I talked with them after and both agreed that they were pretty much at the limits of those cars with maybe 1.5 sec left but not 3 for sure. And I'm sure you know Rohr is legit. Maybe a different track set up?

on hoosier with 4.0 RP and stock suspension jeff did 1:47:xx with AMB timing
not sure what tire dave was on, but he did it with stock RP but with moton at 1:49:9

i know jochen and jeff personally and they know each other as well.
jochen is very modest. maybe too much!
i dont push my RS much. can't afford to write it off.
but i did 1:53 with R888.
so with fresh hoosier and a bit of pushing i am sure i'll get to 1:51. certainly jochen is more than just 1 second faster than moi.
