Default Fuel filter replacement?

Anyone have info on how to do this on the '04 GT3? I am assuming there is one but saw nothing on my search.

It is located on the Left side of the engine, just open the deck lid and it is right there. Access is tight, but very easily done at home.

Thanks, I'll put it on my list then. Just never heard anyone talk about it so before pulling the covers off her and all I figured I see what everyone knew.
The car is six years old and it's never been changed. I like preventive maintenance. Thanks.

I thought about making a DIY Fuel Filter Change (with photos I took) as I have done on other topics but I'm concerned about people getting into trouble on this task. If the job is not done correctly you could have a good sized fuel leak in the engine bay and/or damage the connectors.

As 'Carefree' stated the access is tight. The quick disconnect is easy to work with if you know what to do, the other line has metal to metal fittings and has to be aligned and tightened carefully.

CT03911;

Send me a PM if you need help.

I recommend that before you do anything to your GT3, buy the new fuel filter assembly from a Porsche dealer and have a good look at the quick disconnect (that helps one understand how it functions). Considering the limited access you may also have to buy some tools to do this job.

Porsche calls for it to be changed every 48k miles. I will prolly be doing it every 20-30K.

Directly from the Porsche After Sales Training Document:
Fuel Filter
The fuel filter is located in the left-hand side of the engine
compartment and must be changed every 48,000 miles
(80,000 km) or after 6 years.
