Default volks TE37

some rennlisters are on 18" TE37's.
are these hubcentric wheels or do you need centering rings?

also do you run them WITHOUT spacers?

John, one of the guys here on the forum had problems with them. Weights wouldn't stay on!

I use metallic tape to hold on my weights. I haven't used Volks, but it is hard for me to imagine that this tape wouldn't solve that problem.

I'd have to check and see who had the problem but IIRC they tried tapes as well. Personally, I use the metallic HVAC tape on my BBS and Fikse wheels with never a problem. Something about the finish on the Volk wheels that is not working at the track.

Here is one of the threads:

No spacers but have a slightly different offset. I went through a set of tires and weights did not fall off (2nd set of weights). The first set installed by tirerack fell off right away from heavy rain, but the tape they used looked very flimsy.

Volk for Porsche are hubcentric and should not require spacers if done correctly. I sell them all the time and nobody reports weight issues to me. First I have heard of it as a matter of fact. I could see how the satin paint may make them a bit harder to adhere, but there is varying shades of adhesive quality as well....

Call me if interested or if you have any questions. I'd be glad to help.

Damon

I have3 sets of volks but in 19s for my 997gt3 all from tirerack

If you are not aware that the weights fall off then let me be the one to absolutely confirm it for you

That said simple hcav tape over the weights works perfectly

Also you can use the metal weights that clip on to the inside of the rim - volks have this rim so this works perfectly and they do not fall off

I did not order volks a while back because of the weights issue... sure it can be fixed but the original poster was going through hell trying to get it sorted...

here is the thread -- https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...+wheel+weights

PJS996GT3, Fikse looks great on your car. I have the same set, black, on my SY car for track. Great wheels.

I have the 18" Gunmetal version. Weights are perfectly fine. No spacers needed...(but I'm in a C2, not a GT3).
